Elizabeth "Eliza" Morse: A third-year student at Pemberley University, Morse studies criminal psychology and law. Pragmatic, easy-going, and generally good-natured, she fights for the altruism in life.
Elisabeth "Beth" Carpentier: Also a third-year student at Pemberley, Carpentier studies architecture and design. She is Morse's only dorm-mate and closest frenemy, barely tolerating eachother at times when friendship simply cannot be achieved. Carpentier is proud and careless, though she can, at times, show an acute sensitivity to Morse's feelings.
Dwight Shaphan: Morse's employer. A less-than-successful private investigator who has seen one too many detective movies. His enthusiasm and determination make up for a lack of finesse, though, and he does enough work to hire on a receptionist.
Leverett Leblanc: Not much is known about the sinister Leblanc, other than the fact that he is Dwight's nemesis in the constant battle between good and evil. His reputation in the criminal underworld suggests that he is as deadly as he is elusive.
Casey Liddell: A police corporal fresh to the Pemberley Police Force. Though most of his experience is in computer crimes -- his honour earned behind a 19-inch LCD monitor -- he hopes to prove himself in the field and become an inspector, someday, like the great Harvard Blaak.
